About The Teacher
Welcome to the 2009-2010 School Year! This begins my twentieth year of teaching in Round Rock ISD. Seventeen years were spent in 5th grade. This year marks my third year as the Instructional Technology Specialist. As a child, I grew up in a military family, and we moved a lot. I went to school in Virginia, California, Hawaii, and graduated from high school in Newport, Rhode Island. Then, I finally came to Texas! I graduated from The University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics, Textiles, Clothing, and Fashion Design. I later received my secondary and elementary teacher's certificates from UT,and an ESL certification. My husband and I have three married sons. We are lucky to have them all live in Austin with their families. We are grandparents to two handsome grandsons and two darling granddaughters.

As a life-long learner and teacher, I am committed to helping the teachers at Purple Sage and Kathy Caraway to improve our students’ skills in engaged learning environments, and to assist in facilitating technology daily into an integrated curriculum.
