Mrs. Sadat attended college as a National Merit Scholar. She is a
classically trained pianist, and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's
degree in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy (1980, Louisiana State
University). She taught private piano lessons for 15 years in Baton Rouge
and Austin, then returned to school for certification to teach music in
Texas public schools (1994, University of Texas). For three summers she
attended Kodaly certification classes at Southwest Texas University in San
Marcos (now Texas State University), and earned her Organization of American
Kodaly Educators (OAKE) National Certification in 1997.
Mrs. Sadat is a member of several professional teaching organizations,
including Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), and Education Round
Rock/ Texas State Teachers Association/ National Education Association/
American Federation of Teachers/ Texas Federation of Teachers.
