About The Teacher
I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Texas in 1980. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Wisconsin and did graduate work at UT. I have a daughter and a son. After being a single mom for eight years, I married Mr. Casey and now have two step daughters and one grandson as well. I have been teaching 4th grade at Purple Sage for 25 years. While teaching here I have seen many changes over the years. Although many people have come and gone during all those years, I have remained because I enjoy the community and the philosphy of the staff here. We are dedicated to giving our students the best education we possibly can with the utmost professionalism and positive environment.

Mission
"We will do our best each day to treat everyone and everything in the Purple Sage community with RESPECT. We will work appropriately with our best effort to learn ourselves and let others learn as well." This was last year's Social Contract. This year's students will be finalizing and signing their contract. Watch for it in September 2009.
