Report cards will be issued on Wednesday, November 4. Please be sure to sign and return the report
card. I will give you an unsigned copy for your records.

Our field trip the Dewberry Farm was rained out. We refunded the chaperones' money. We still have
the students' money and are planning another trip. Stay tuned.
Special thanks to Ms. Mashonda (Zamaiah's mom), Ms. Gardner (Aiden's mom) and Ms. Adair (Jesse's
aunt) for a great Halloween party. It was awesome. We also celebrated Brian Spencer's birthday with
cupcakes at the same time. YUM!
I really appreciate the birthday gift certificate. Thank you for thinking of me.. .it was totally
unexpected.
We will have two assessments in November. We will look at math with the Hiding Assessment. We will
also administer the High Frequency Word test. This is a promotion standard. This is being given earlier
this year, however, the students will have two more chances (April and June) to pass the test. The word
list may be found on the HISD website under Reading or Curriculum.
