Homework

Please look in your child's folder each day. I will be sending homework more 
regularly. The homework assignment will either have a note on it that tells 
that it is homework, or it will be written in their daily folder. Homework 
is not usually for a grade, unless it is something that was not completed in 
class. More than anything, the work is to help generalize skills that have 
been learned in the classroom to home...In other words, we want to make sure 
that your child is able to carry over the skills that they are learning into 
the home environment and elsewhere. If your child has problems with any of 
the assignments, write a note to me and tell me what problem the child is 
having. Then, I can make sure to reteach, or find out what is necessary to 
help your child to be successful. One last item, since the homework is not 
for a grade and is only for your child's learning benefit, please do not do 
their homework for them. It is better for me to see that the homework was 
not done than to see homework that was done by someone other than the 
student. This all really is for the benefit of your child.
