What is the one thing I can do to help my child the most?
READ with your child. It is best to sit with your child and follow along as
they read, but better then nothing would be to let them read to you while
you
are working in the kitchen or outside. Read to them -- they are not too old
to have stories read to them! Making time to read each day is the MOST
important thing you can do for your child.
--------------------------------------
What room are you in these days, Ms. Williams?
You can find us upstairs towards the far right side of the annex building in
Room 35. Ms. Brown is next door in 36, and Ms. Platt is still one further
in 37. Remember to sign in at the front office before coming upstairs to
visit.
--------------------------------------
When does my child have library?
10:30-11:00
Section C Tuesdays
Section B Wednesdays
Section A Thursdays
--------------------------------------
What time is Ancillary/Fourth Grade Planning Period?
Our planning period is from 9:00-9:45 p.m. The fourth grade team will meet
with you on Thursdays. Please make an appointment so we can all be present
to save you time and trips to the school. Thank you!

He/she will receive a pencil when we sing Happy Birthday to your child. You
are welcome to bring a birthday snack of cupcakes, muffins, fresh fruit and
real fruit juice. We can serve the snack in our rooms or in the outdoor
classroom from 12:30-1:00.

What are Bluebonnet Projects?
Students will produce a creative project which portrays some aspect of the
Bluebonnet book that the child has already read and passed the AR test on.
In addition to grades given for the creative project, students will take an
AR test. Some copies are available at our school library, but most
children will need to go to their local branch of the Houston Public Library
and borrow the book. Copies can also be purchased at bookstores. If you
have further questions, please call Ms. Williams before or after school.
Thank you.
