About The Teachers

From Mrs. Brown, Math/ELA:

I am originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. I graduated from Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. This will be my eighth year teaching and fifth year here at S.C. Red. I am married with two beautiful children. I enjoy reading, shopping, spending time with family and friends, and coaching cheerleading.

From Ms. Smith, Science/Social Studies/ELA:

This is my 10th year teaching at Red. I taught 5 years of kindergarten and 3 years of Pre-K. This will be my 2nd year of teaching Science and Social Studies in Fourth Grade. I graduated Cum Laude from University of Houston and started at Red in December 2000 where I did my Student Teaching. Prior to working at Red and graduating, I taught at Southhampton Montessori and that gave me alot of great experiences with children. I love spending time with my mom and friends. I have a Boston terrior named Shelby and she is my little baby. I love to relax during my spare time. Not only do I love teaching but I also love learning from my students as well.

From Ms. Williams, Reading/ELA, ESL:

This is my seventh year at Red, and once again I am teaching fourth grade! In my previous thirteen years of teaching, I have taught Art, Spanish, first grade, third grade, and three year olds. I graduated with honors from Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia, majoring in Art History with a minor in Computer Science. I have both Texas and Virginia teaching certificates for grades K-8 with Gifted and Talented, Art (K-12) and ESL (EC-4) endorsements.
I have two great kiddos. This year, Laura Rose will be in third grade, and Bolie will be starting Kindergarten. I am in school myself working on prerequisites for a masters degree in Psychology, and in my spare time (right!?) I am the school's webmaster.

Mission For The Class

The Fourth Grade Team's mission is to give your child the best education
possible to meet his/her needs. If there is something we can do better for
your child, we want to hear your thoughts. You know your child better than
anyone.
