This is my sixth year at Red, and once again I am teaching fourth grade! In
my previous twelve years of teaching, I have taught Art, Spanish, first
grade, third grade, and three year olds.
I graduated with honors from Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia, majoring
in Art History with a minor in Computer Science. I have both Texas and
Virginia teaching certificates for grades K-8 with Gifted and Talented, Art
(K-12) and ESL (EC-4) endorsements.
In 1997, I moved to Texas after marrying, and I have two great kiddos.
This year, Laura Rose will be in third grade at Herod Elementary, and Bolie
will be starting Kindergarten.
I have a great love of ceramics and have taken classes at Glassell. I have
recently acquired a medium-sized kiln and always work on at least one clay
project with the children every year!
