Welcome to PreK where the Dragon tradition begins! For most of you, this is your child’s first school experience. I consider it both an honor and privilege to be part of those first school memories. This year promises to be filled with fun, laughter and learning.

This is my fifth year teaching at Rockenbaugh Elementary; however, my Carroll roots are very deep. I am a Southlake native and a Carroll High School graduate. My husband is a Dragon coach….so we bleed green at our house. We have a crazy baby boy named Luke Garrett who will turn one in October.

Teaching PreK this year, alongside my wonderful aide, Amy Bass, is a joy! Learning with your child and seeing their face light up is thrilling. I feel that developing a child’s character, social skills and ability to handle oneself in all situations is just as important as other academic skills.
