Jason Cate grew up in Southlake and has been a Dragon since kindergarten. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene with a Bachelor of Behavior Science degree in Sports, Fitness, and Leisure Studies. He also completed his minor in art and psychology. He played tennis and baseball at Hardin-Simmons. He has his teaching certificate in All-Level PE and 4-8 Generalist. He worked this past school year at Eubanks Intermediate School , teaching technology and helping out in the gym throughout the year. He is looking forward to a great year with the kids at Rockenbaugh.
He is married to April, his wife of 3 years, who is also a teacher. April teaches 2nd grade at a school in Irving . They live in Southlake with their two dogs Sadie and Sutton. Sutton is a Silver Lab and Sadie is a Yorkie. They both enjoy traveling and taking trips with their families. He enjoys anything outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and camping are right down his alley.
