Is this a full year course?

Yes, semester 1, we learn Word, PowerPoint, and the begining of Excel.  
Second Semester, we continue with Excel, Access, and Publisher

Can I do my work at home?

Unfortunately, it is against department policy to check out books or allow 
computer work to be completed at home.  If you need to make up work, come see 
me before school
