Here are some frequently asked questions that I hope to eliminate with this
section of the website.

Do you allow work to be turned in late?
Work that is turned in late anytime after the assignment is
collected but within 1 school day of the time due will receive an
automatic 15 point deduction. Work that is later than 1 school
day will receive an automatic 10 additional points deduction per
day. Work that is more than 2 weeks late will not be accepted.
has an assignment due on Monday and turns it in on Wednesday he
or she will
have automatically 20 points taken off for it being late. That
is 10 points
per day. Once I say an assignment is due, it is time to turn it
in. If you
turn it in 10 minutes late, then it is considered 1 day late
which will
result in 10 points being deducted.
However, if a student has an assignment due on Monday and comes
by and turns
it in on Tuesday, then he/she will only have 10 points taken
off. See me
for more clarification.But no matter if you have your work or you
are
turning it in late you will be required to take any quiz that
could possibly
be assigned that day.
Do you allow re-takes of Quizzes?
No. Quizzes will be taken almost everyday and will be used to
test for comprehension of material. The students will be allowed
to use their homework on these quizzes and thus should not have
to have retakes.
Can a student re-take a test?
Students will be allowed to do test corrections and receive half
of the points that they lost on their tests. This must be done
outside of class unless class time is alloted by the teacher.
They will not take a test over. Each student that misses a test
will be required to take a short answer/essay test in place of
the test in which they missed. Regardless of the absence, this
policy will be utilized.
Can a student come in for make up work for a school related absence?
It is the responsibility of the student that knows a head of time
that he/she will be absent from class, to come in and do any make-
up work prior to the absence. If a student comes in prior to the
absence on a day prior to the test, he/she will be allowed to
take the multiple choice test and not the short answer/essay test.
When are tutorials?
My tutorials are on Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:20 to 9 am in
the morning. They can also be done by appointment. Being a
Coach it is nearly impossible to have afterschool tutorials.
There will be some times during the year I can make arrangements
for this to happen but expect to come in before school. Thanks.
