When are your tutorials?

Officially Monday and Thursday Morning 8:30-9:00.  However, 
students can schedule a specific time with me before or after 
school.

How much does each AP Exam cost?

The State of Texas pays part of the cost of the test so that 
Texas students 
pay only $50.00 for each test.

Is there any way to get AP test fees reduced?

Students who qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced-price Lunch 
program 
qualify for a reduced test fee. Other students who demonstrate 
financial 
need can get local assistance. Students should check with the 
Senior 
counselor for more information.

Is the AP Literature Exam the same as the AP Language Exam?

No - they are distinctly different tests, and most colleges give 
credit for 
different courses on the basis of scores for each test.

What books will my English IV-AP student need?

A Separate Peace, John Knowles (for first book analysis)
Hamlet, William Shakespeare *
A Doll’s House, Henrik Ibsen * 
Heart of Darkness, Joseph Conrad
 
Books the student selects for their Book Analysis'
            
* Books that are in the textbook

Please Note:  No student is required to purchase any book.  
Copies of all 
books are available at the 
school library.

How much college credit does a student get for passing the AP Lit Exam?

Each college has a different policy for granting credit. Find out
