Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year! I am very proud to say that I am a
veteran Dragon. This is my 23rd year at RRHS, and I truly love this
community. We have great kids, parents, and staff, and I can't think of a
place I would rather teach!
I grew up in rural Texas in a small town south of La Grange called
Flatonia. From there, I had a culture shock when I went to college at the
University of Houston. Go Coogs! I majored in Math, minored in Computer
Science, and did extra work to receive my teaching certificates. I student-
taught here at RRHS, and never left because it is an amazing place!
My husband and I have been married for 22 years, and we have a daughter in
high school.

Tutoring: Tuesday & Friday mornings - 8:15-9:00
Students are also welcome any other days the lab is open before or after
school.
My primary classroom is Room 205, and tutoring will be in that room. But I
also teach in Room 208, so please check for me there if you can't find me in
205.
My goal, for all my classes, is that students learn relevant, cutting edge
technology skills, and an appreciation and knowledge of the career fields
they are considering.
My goal is that I have as many students as possible take
and pass the industry certification exam in computer repair called A+
(sponsored by CompTIA).
My goal for the education class is that students
get a real picture of what it would be like to be a teacher, to see how
fulfilling this profession is, and to hopefully catch the "spark" so that
they continue learning more about the education profession each year.
This year I get to teach Computer Science again!! My goal for these students
is that they learn what Computer Science is, gain an appreciation for what
programmers do and how that affects all of us in daily life, and for as many
students to take the AP exam and be successful.
Finally, my goal for all students is that they become, and see the importance
of being, life-long learners.
