TESTING DATES FOR 2012-13
We ask that parents help us ensure the students at Rowe Lane Elementary are
prepared and ready to do their best on tests by following these simple
guidelines:
1) Do not schedule any Dr. appointments on testing days
2) Make sure your student is well rested
3) Eat a healthy breakfast
4) Make sure your student is prepared (Ex: Has their glasses; Has taken
daily medication; Has 2 pencils with erasers; Healthy snack/lunch etc)
5) Arrives to school on time
6) Begins their day with encouraging words from you
August 31 (Fri): Credit by Exam (CBE) Request Window
September 10-14: Credit by Exam (CBE) Testing
March 18- April 10: TELPAS (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing)Testing
window for all ESL students
April 2 (Tues): 4th Gr. Writing Day 1 STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of
Academic Readiness) test; 5th Gr. Math STAAR Test
April 3 (Wed): 4th Gr. Writing Day 2 STAAR Test; 5th Gr. Reading STAAR Test
April 23 (Tues): 3rd and 4th Gr. Math STAAR test
April 24 (Wed): 3rd and 4th Gr. Reading STAAR test; 5th Gr. Science STAAR Test
May 14 (Tues): 5th Gr. Math STAAR Retest (only for students not passing the
Apr. adminstration)
May 15 (Wed): 5th Gr. Reading STAAR Retest (only for students not passing
the Apr. adminstration)
April 30- May 2: Credit by Exam (CBE) Request Window
May 21-24: Credit by Exam (CBE) Testing
