This will be my fourth year here at Rowe Lane Elementary. Before
coming to Rowe Lane I worked as the counselor at Pflugerville Elementary for
4 years. Previously I was a school counselor in Taylor for 7 years, a
Kindergarten teacher in Coupland for 3 years and in Corpus Christi for 2
years.
In addition to being a Certified Texas School Counselor, I am also a
Licensed Professional Counselor (License ID#10039) which certifies me to
counsel all ages outside of the school setting. I have a Masters Degree in
Guidance & Counseling (from Texas State University)and a Bachelors Degree in
Education with a specialization in Early Childhood (from Baylor University).
I am married and have one daughter who's 9, and 2 step-daughters who are 19
& 22 years old. We love to go camping and do fun outdoor activites like
water skiing, jet skiing, cycling, and swimming. I also enjoy reading
mystery novels, playing Wii with my family, and exercising. We also have a
new golden retriever puppy, Korbel, that we love to take places and play with!
It is my goal to make sure all students know who the Rowe Lane Counselor is
and how I can help them. Building relationships with the students at RLES
is one of my primary goals. If students know and trust me, then they will
feel comfortable coming to me when they have a problem or concern. The
primary goal of a school counselor is to help students with social and
emotional needs so they can better focus on academic acceleration. I look
forward to working with all the Rowe Lane students and their parents
throughout the year.
