About The Teacher
Welcome to second grade! My name is Anne Trevathan and I am looking forward to the 126th year at SAA! This will be my fourth year of teaching second grade at the Academy. I am loving it and your boys! My education includes a BA in Elementary Education (certified K-8th) with a minor in Spanish from Texas Lutheran University. I earned a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas State University. I also earned a double MEd in Generic Special Education/ED and Supervision from Trinity University. I have 34 years of experience in both public and private school systems. This year I will have a new team teacher, Mrs. Kathleen Hill. We are looking forward to an exciting year of learning and fun with your boys! Kathleen Hill comes to the Academy from Killeen,Texas. Kathleen has a BS in Education Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University. As a result of her husband's military career Kathleen has 14 years of eclectic teaching experience. Kathleen says of herself, "My experience with Gifted and Talented programs and students is extensive. I consider myself an expert in differentiation and creating challenging learning experiences for my students." Kathleen is thrilled to join the SAA family!
