for fall school supplies for Spicewood. If you buy through the below
website, your child's supplies will be in their classroom when they come to meet
their teacher in August. No work on your part at all. It is a super easy way to
take care of your child's necessary supplies for fall.

This is not a fundraiser for our school. The supplies are actually a bargain

 Dear Parents,

If you have Box Tops and Labels at home please turn them in to Mrs. Hansen by this Friday the 18th. This will be the last collection of the school year.

Many Box Tops expire in June so we would like to get them submitted so we don’t lose that money.

 Happy Mother's Day! Thank you for all the wonderful gifts for teacher appreciation!  It has been an honor to work with your children all year.  The end of the year party will be the Dannon celebration on May 25.  The third grade time will be from 11:00 to 2:00.  Our lunch time will change to 10:30 to 11:00.  The lunch will be a sack lunch with a Turkey Corn Dog or a Veggie Hot Dog.  Dear Spicewood Parents,

On Monday, April 30, our second grade teacher, Mrs. Megan McGowan found a bat outside our first grade classroom’s exit doors. We immediately followed protocol, which involves immediate removal and delivery to the Texas Department of State Health Services. The bat testedPOSITIVE for RABIES. At the time of the incident, Ms. Fuller questioned each child in her care. NONE reported touching it. However, if you learn something differently, and you think that your child or someone else may have come in physical contact with this animal, please call:The Department of State Health Services: Zoonosis Control, 1-254-778-6744 and/orAustin/Travis County Health and Human Services Department Surveillance Unit, 512-972-5555.
This morning we have posted notices about this RABIES ALERT on all of our exterior doors and each teacher has discussed the procedure for what the children should do if they ever see a deadorlive animal on the school grounds. They have been told to NEVER TOUCH IT, and IMMEDIATELY REPORT IT TO THE TEACHER.

We’re extremely thankful to Mrs. McGowan’s quick response and the Texas Department of Health Services! If you have any questions, PLEASE feel free to call any of us at Spicewood! Please know that your child’s safety is ALWAYS our first priority!
