Weekly Lesson Plans

On Friday, the children may wear church clothing or Christmas attire appropriate for church. No jeans or t-shirts please. All three Pre K classes will sing a song at the Christmas Pageant in the church. The Pageant will be followed by our class party. Dismissal will be at 11:30 from the Family Life Center.

SPECIAL NOTES:

1) I still have not received responses from everyone regarding receipt of the December De Sales Details. Your email response is required by the school office. My sincere thanks to everyone who has responded.

2) Mrs. Maria Kong, Gabrielle’s mom, has posted a sign-up sheet for the PreK Christmas party by the classroom door. Additional information will come home on Monday or Tuesday. Thank you, Mrs. Kong, for all your hard work!!!!!

The week of December 14th:

We will spend the rest of the month on Christmas activities.  This will be a review week. We will not introduce a new letter.

I am having day surgery on my shoulder on Thursday, December 17th. Unfortunately, I will not be here Thursday or Friday. I am so disappointed that I will miss our Christmas party. Ms. Vicki and a helper will take great care of our “Busy Bees” in my absence. We are so blessed to have Ms. Vicki. I would appreciate your prayers for a speedy recovery.

Highlights from the week of December 7th:

We have completed our “top secret” Christmas present for you. The children worked extremely hard and please know how much love went into the making of this gift. Most of them have told me where they are going to hide your present when they take it home (I’ll never tell!).  They really want to surprise you on Christmas morning.

We attended the Advent Prayer Service on Monday morning and the Immaculate Conception Mass on Tuesday. What a special way to celebrate this advent season.

The Pre K students continued counting down the days to Christmas by adding a cotton ball to Santa’s beard every day. Santa’s beard is really filling out!

We enjoyed our enrichment activities again this week. We love learning about sign language with Mrs. Kearns. The coaches always have incredible games for us to play. Our third grade Reading Buddies are the best. Unfortunately, we will not get to see Ms. Nelson and Maggie in the library again until December 17th because the library is closed for the Christmas Shoppe.

I have had a bit of a cough this week and your children were really at their best when I told them I needed some extra help. They are very loving and they even prayed for my cough to get better.

Thank you for sharing your incredible children with us!

Love,

Mrs. Sterner

Ms. Vicki
