Homework

"Practice makes perfect!!!" Every student in the school
should be practicing keyboarding every night.

Ideas: Students may practice by typing their spelling/vocabulary words, facts
that must be memorized for classes, as in history, language arts,
science, etc.

Please be checking to see your child's progress in keyboarding!!! This is an
important life long skill that will aide them in their future.

God Bless,

Mrs. Richards

Grades 1 through 5 will have class once a week. Practice of the correct keys
and fingering at home is vital for a student to master keyboarding.
Keyboarding cannot possibly be mastered in just one class period a week. Daily
practice is necessary for a student's success in keyboarding skills.

Supervision by parents will give the students the support they need to master
this skill.

The keyboarding chart is at the bottom of this page!

Break down of homework times for daily keyboarding practice are as follows:

1st grade - 3rd grade: 10 minutes nightly.

4th grade - 5th grade: 15 minutes nightly.

6th grade - eighth grade: 20 minutes nightly.

This will not only assist students in computer skills, but help them with
other subjects at the same time.
