Welcome

Welcome to St. Helen Catholic School, home to both the 2014 and 2012 Galveston-Houston Archdiocese Teachers of the Year - Mrs. Lilia Keister (2014-15 recipient) and Mrs. Rachel Bacilla (2012-13 recipient). Mrs. Keister (K teacher) and Mrs. Bacilla (middle school math) are fine representatives of our instructional staff. The entire St. Helen community is extremely proud of both of these teachers!

Mrs. Betty Bouley, former 5th grade Math/Science teacher until May 2014, was recently named Keep Pearland Beautiful's (KPB) 2014 Educator of the Year! Mrs. Bouley coordinated our "green" efforts and helped our students support the KPB's area recycling/clean up campaigns. Much appreciation goes to Mrs. Bouley for her efforts - way to go!

St. Helen Catholic School was recently awarded, for the fifth consecutive year, the national Green Ribbon School Award (one of only 41 schools in the nation). This award is given to schools with a community effort to conserve the Earth's resources and be good stewards of God's creations. Kudos to the students, families, and staff who voluntarily coordinate our "green" efforts!

All of our staff are worthy of awards......please get to know them and St. Helen Catholic School! We are dually accredited by the TCCED (Texas Catholic Conference Education Department) and AdvancED (formerly Southern Association of Schools).

We, the community of St. Helen Catholic School, firmly believe that learning is a life-long process to be nurtured and sustained at all levels. At the heart of the educational process is the faith formation of all persons, especially our students, through the personal commitment of each staff member and an academic program centered on Christian values.

Our students know that we have high expectations for them, and they strive to meet them. We welcome involvement from parents and the community as together, we ensure our school maintains our Catholic identity. Our national Catholic School theme for the 2014-2015 school year is "Catholic Schools: Communications of Faith, Knowledge, and Service." Our continued mission is "Wisdom, Age, Grace" or growing children in WAG!
