I moved to Texas 11 years ago from Western New York where I grew up. I
live with my wife, Michelle. We have one Son, Luke who begins first grade
this year. I know I will have many great stories about his journey through
school this year. I look forward to sharing his experiences with you. We
have a dog, Tag (short for Dartagnon, the name the shelter gave him). He is
a Lab/ Retreiver mix and all black. He still has a lot of puppy in him as
he is just 3! Do you know or remember Dino. That was Fred Flintstones pet
dinosaur. That is my dog!! If he could run me over and lick my face he
would!! He is on the extra friendly side....that sure beats the alternative!!
I love sports but hockey is by far my favorite. You could say I am a
hockey freak. I began playing hockey at the age of 5. I was a
defenseman/forward for the St. John Fisher Cardinals in college. During my
Junior year I began coaching youth and have coached now for 18 years. I have
worked with all age groups from beginner through High School. I have been
fortunate enough to lead 2 teams to Texas state and Texas/ Oklahoma district
championships. My 2000-'01 team went undefeated...wow...what an awesome run
that was! I am currently coaching for the Austin Roadrunner organization.
I graduated from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York with a
Bachelors in Business Management. After graduation I worked in sales/sales
management. I was once awarded Sales manager of the quarter and year while
working for A Rochester New York based company. My love for working with
children through coaching and our church youth group eventually tugged me
into the education profession. I enjoy sharing My business experience as I
teach and feel it provides a great asset.
While not in the classroom I am very active and do not sit around
much. I enjoy working in the yard/gardening, golfing, bike riding, baseball
etc...Most of all my passion is boating! There is no better place to be than
on the water(frozen or liquid...HA!). Waterskiing at 7:00AM followed by a
cup of fresh coffee with the newspaper is the ultimate way to begin a new
day!
