I love quotes......here are a few I really like... "Do not limit the future by the past" "You can give without loving, but cannot love without giving" Football coach Lou Holtz once said...."we aren't where we want to be,we aren't where we ought to be, but thank goodness we aren't where we used to be" Vince Lombardi...."if you accept losing, you can't win" Advice from those who know more than me A piece of advice recently shared with me....Parents, Hug your children everyday.....kids, Hug your parents everyday!!!!!!!! A simple hug can make the difference in someone's day or life!! Little Life Science If you take a pot of boiling water and place a plastic spoon in the water, it will melt. Place an egg into that same pot, and it will eventually harden. Consider the coffee bean. When ground and boiled, it releases a rich aroma and a taste that one would never think could come from a dark, little bean. Now, ponder this for a moment. What do you do when life "heats up" and presents you with problems and unexpected challenges? Like the plastic spoon, do you melt and become unfit for use? An egg becomes hard when boiled. When the going gets a little rough, do you allow your heart to become hardened and for all practical purposes, just give up? Or, are you like the coffee bean? The stressful situations and unexpected difficulties actually bring out the best in you. I found this "parable" on another teachers web site the other day. I have no idea who wrote it,neither does he, but it gave me something to think about other than how long the line at Starbucks might be.
Or, would you like to view and optionally restore one of these previous versions?
