June 1 to November 30 is hurricane season along the Atlantic and Gulf coast of the United States.  The peak of the season is August when hidtorically most hurricanes occur.  Stay aware of these  powerful storms which can affect the weather in Round Rock.  For the latest information check out the National HurricaneCenter website at www.nhc.noaa.gov/ .

 

In our area these storms can bring periods of heavy rain, thunderstorm, high winds, and tornados.  Tune in to local weather channels for current information.  Round Rock ISD offers shelter to evacuees from along the Texas coastal areas.
