About The Teacher
Bonjour! My name is Marie Douglass and I am a French citizen from Lyon, France! I have been teaching for eight years in Plano TX(north of Dallas) and this will be my 5th year at SPHS!. My husband and children ( Sara is almost 7 and starting 1st grade, and Ian will be 6in January and is Kindergarden) We moved to Round Rock and the SPHS community in 2005 and we love it! I am teaching French I, II, IIE, IV, V AP and IB. I have also taught Spanish in the past! I am SP9 LOTE Department Chair as well. During my free time, you might find me shopping at La Frontera or the Outlet Mall on a regular basis. I was an International Student at Southwestern University in Georgetown, where I met my husband. We promised ourselves to come back and settle in the Austin area one day. The day has come! I did my student teaching at Round Rock High School, where I developed a passion for teaching French! This is the main reason why we are back! We love the area, we love the people ! I am looking forward to meeting my new tigers this year! Geaux Tigers! Marie Douglass:)
