This is my third year at Stony Point 9 as lead Focus teacher and my first
year as co-department chair. I graduated from the University of Georgia in
2003 with a B.S., Ed. degree in Therapeutic Recreation. In 2008, I graduated
from Texas State University with a Master's degree in Special Education. I
previously worked in residential care and in a therapeutic wilderness camp in
East Texas. I enjoy working with adolescents as they transition into becoming
responsible adults. It is a privilege to be a part of my students' lives,
providing mentoring and encouragement to make good decisions, and deal with
challenges in acceptable ways. I am looking forward to working with your
student as they embark on their high school journey!
