Algebra 1 NewsFlash

We are now at the fall semester.  Just this last week and then final exams. I have the final exam schedule on my main page and on the school news page.  Exemption information was given out to the students on Thursday.  It is NECESSARY that they be filled out, signed by teachers and parents, and returned to the school office by 4:30 on Wednesday.  There are no excuses for turning them in late, and it will result in a student's not being able to exempt any exams.

We will have the last test in algebra 1 on Monday.  It covers the last half of chapter 5.  A review for this exam was given to students on Thursday, and is posted on my calendar page.

If you have not had a chance, please check out my calendar page.  I try to use that page as "information central" for my classes.  Of course, you can see what I have planned for the full six weeks. Even more, I have linked the homework assignments and class notes to the calendar as well.  From there, you can download copies of the homework assignment for that "rare time" when a freshman loses the copy that I gave them, or completed sets of class notes.  Be aware that there will be 2 calendars as I now have algebra 1 and algebra 2, so make sure that you are reading the correct one.

If you need an electronic copy of the textbook, copies of the homework, or additional homework help - including videos of the author of our text book teaching the lesson himself, check out the holt web site.  The user name is sp9alg1 and the password is algebrarocks! (including the !).  If you are used to the other, it is still available.  I just created this one to be easier to remember.

The link below is to Adopt-A-Classroom.  Through this site, you can donate to our class, and I can buy paper, charts, marker pens, and other much needed supplies.  I am very grateful for all of the support that parents give to my class and my students.
