ALL CLASSES: Please read at least 30 minutes from your Reader's Workshop
novel each night at home.
Here's an equation to consider:
ENGLISH I:
If you read 10 pages every weeknight during your 30 minutes of reading (one
page every three minutes), that's 50 pages read each week (10x5=50).
Students have 5 weeks to read before the final Reader's Workshop grade is
recorded, which means 250 pages are read each six weeks (50x5=250). THAT IS
AWESOME!
Linked AP English I:
If you read 15 pages every weeknight during your 30 minutes of reading (one
page every two minutes), that's 75 pages read each week (15x5=75). Students
have 5 weeks to read before the final Reader's Workshop grade is recorded,
which means 375 pages are read each six weeks (75x5=375). THAT IS AWESOME!
