Welcome to Our Class!!!

Dear parents,

I have made it back safely from the statewide Autism Conference in Corpus Christi.  It was a wonderful event. We even had a few snowflakes down there!!!   As I sort through everything I learned and received, I will be sharing information with you.  Most of the information will apply to all of my students, not just the ones who have a diagnosis of autism.
For those of you who have a student who is diagnosed with autism or know someone who does, next years conference is in October.  As that date gets closer, be on the lookout for stipends for parents to attend.  There were a lot of parents in attendance this year.  Some of the seminars where aimed at parents. It is a worthwhile event to attend.
Our newspaper this week is about the swine flu.  Our vocabulary words are: flu, germ, doctor, and sick.
We have a trip scheduled for December 15th.  We are planning on going to Lakeline Mall for some holiday shopping.  We will provide the money for their meals.  If you want to send money for your student to shop, please do so.  Please include a list of suggestions along with whom they will be making the purchase for.
December 16,17, and 18th are short days due to finals.  Our buses will pick up at 1:00.  Lunches will not be served.  You may send a sack lunch with your child if you want.  We will have a few snacks available.
   Have a great week!!!
