My life experience is deeply rooted among both disciplines; Fine Arts and
speech communication. My Fine Art background is comprised of a twenty year
career as a professional textile artist, selling and exhibiting my work.
This also included founding and running a Fine Art gallery in Dallas. I
have also been involved in many organizations in leadership positions, which
has given me great experiences in presenting to varied types of audiences.
I am a proud graduate of the University of North Texas, receiving my BFA in
Visual Arts Studies (Art Education).
My mission for the Class is to have every student feel more comfortable
about the process of art making - being open to new materials and new
techniques. It's important that the students have fun but also connect with
their deeper selves through the process of art making.
