When should my student start piano lessons?
Usually first or second grade or when they are interested enough to practice. This is not a hard and fast rule but if they have the letter reading skills then the note reading comes more easily to them. Also, starting students before their fine motor skills have developed can cause them frustration.Back to Top

What is the Kodaly Method of teaching music?
The Kodaly method of teaching uses a spiraling curriculum of skills for it's literacy program. It teaches skills aurally, orally,physically and visually. Most of the music used is authentic American folk songs. Students learn to read,write,and play music while developing a beautiful singing voice.Back to Top
