Monday: Project on Dialogue (due Thursday). Project information and examples will be distributed in class.
Tuesday: Time to work on Dialogue project in class. Project is due on Thursday.
Wednesday: Time to work on Dialogue project in class. Project is due on Thursday.
Thursday: Dialogue Project is due. Class Spelling Game. This will determine classroom finalists for the Spelling Bee.
Friday: Classroom Spelling Bee for finalists. Top 6 spellers in 6th grade (regardless of homeroom) will compete in the School Spelling Bee on January 13.

November 30 - December 4
Monday: Read a story in class and complete WS on folk tales. Spelling WS distributed (due Wed).
Tuesday: Library Day. Complete Ruins of Zimbabwe WS.
Wednesday: Spelling WS due. Complete Quartering the Story WS.
Thursday: Complete Comparing the Stories WS.
Friday: Multiple Choice Spelling Test. WS on the Bantu language.

November 16 - 20
Monday: WS 169 and 171 is due. Read and practice pp. 591 - 593. Complete WS 173.
Tuesday: Review pp. 596 - 597.
Wednesday: Review for Test on Thursday.
Thursday: Test on Chapter 16. Complete Grammar WS after test.
Friday: DL Q #2. Grammar WS is due.

November 9 - 13
Monday: Quiz on Commas and Endmarks. Spelling WS distributed. Read and practice pp. 578 - 580. Complete WS 160, ex. 1.
Tuesday: Library Day. Read and practice pp. 581 - 582. Rewrite ex. 2 from WS 161 on lined paper.
Wednesday: Spelling WS is due. Read and practice pp. 582 - 584. Complete WS 164, ex. 1.
Thursday: Read and practice pp. 586 - 589. Complete WS 166, ex. 1.
Friday:
Spelling Test. Read and practice pp. 589 - 590. Complete WS 169, ex. 2 and WS 171, ex. 1.

November 2 - 6
Monday: Owl Paragraphs are Due. Spelling WS distributed. Learn about end marks. Complete WS A and WS B will be completed and checked during class.
Tuesday: Read and practice pp. 564 - 567. Complete WS 141 and 143, ex. 1 on each.
Wednesday: Spelling WS is due. Read and practice pp. 567 - 569.
Thursday: DL Quiz #1 (on lessons 2-1 through 2 - 7). Read and practice pp. 570 - 572. Complete p. 571, ex. 18 on a piece of lined paper.
Friday: Spelling Test. Read and practice pp. 574 - 576. There will be a quiz on Monday covering Commas and Endmarks.
October 26 - October 30
Monday: Paraphrase 6 - 8 sentences of different facts on your Owl topic. Write the sentences as a list on lined paper (due Tues).
Tuesday: Library Day. Write a topic sentence and a closing sentence for your Owl paragraph (due Wed).
Wednesday: Write a rough draft of your owl paragraph (due Thurs). Typing and format information will be distributed in class today.
Thursday: Peer editing in class. Typed final draft of owl paragraph is due on Monday.
