Have you ever wondered how Meteorologists, or weather forecasters, can
predict the weather? Or how they know when a storm is coming? Do you know of
ways to prepare for storms? There are many different types of storms. Each
kind is different in many ways, and they can each leave damaging effects in
their path. Here in the south, the main storms we hear about are tornados,
hurricanes and thunderstorms. In other places of the world different types
of storms can occur, like a blizzard. It is important to know the warning
signs of these storms, and to know what you can do to protect yourself, and
others, in case one of them comes to your neighborhood.
