Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
Welcome to the second semester Wildcats!
Parents, all 7th grade students took the district's MMA to gauge if our
students are prepared for the math TAKS test and will help us decide which
teks to specifically work with them. For those performing below the
district's passing of 70%, mandatory tutorial is required once a week
beginning the first week of Feb through the 2nd week of March, when Spring
Benchmark will be given. A letter was sent home with each student indicating
the child's performance. Please sign it and return to your child's math
teacher.
For the week of Feb 8th, both Accel and Onlevel students will complete the
Geometric Properties Unit with translating and reflecting coordinate points
and polygons on the coordinate grid. Feb 10th is Early Release day and school
will end at 1:30 for our Wildcats. Review will be provided on Thursday for
the Geometric Test on Friday. The 4th six weeks will end on Friday, Feb 12th!
