When is the library book due?

Please bring library book every Thursday to check 
out a new book.

How fast should a first grader read?

Our goal is to read 40 wpm (words per minute)
 by the middle of the year.
A first grader should read 60 wpm 
(words per minute) by the end of the year.
He should not just read fast but with expression also.

What does accuracy rate mean in reading?

The accuracy rate is the percent of words 
in a passage that are read 
correctly. Your child should read at 95%
 accuracy to easily understand what 
is read. If he is reading at less than 90% 
accuracy, he can't comprehend the 
passage.
