About The Teacher
I am very excited to be your child's second grade teacher this year. I am a long time resident of Friendswood, but I was raised in Victoria. I celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary with my husband, Mitch this summer and I have two sons. My oldest son, Landon, is 13 and is in the 8th grade and my younger son, Parker, is 10 and is in the 5th grade. I previously taught in Deer Park ISD for several years where I taught second grade and kindergarten. This is my 4th year at Westwood Elementary where I taught 3rd grade for the past three years. I am looking forward to a wonderful, productive and fun year with your child. :) "Each day of our lives we make deposits in the memory banks of our children". I hope that I can help to enable your child's memory bank to fill to "overflowing" with wealth. :)

Mission
My mission for the class is for the children to have a loving, fun and safe environment to come to each day with the expectation of gaining new and useful knowledge that will benefit them in a school setting as well as a "everyday environment". I have very high academic expectations of the kids and feel that they are capable of becoming high academic achievers as well as good citizens. The kids are treated not only as students, but "family" in the classroom and I feel that they truly feel that they are loved, appreciated and valued each and every day that they are with me and the rest of their "school family".
