Mini Lessons: Students will use text to make predictions Vocabulary: predictions Language: What is an adjective?
Vocabulary: adjective Spelling: Students will begin to study a new spelling list for long o words. We will be
taking a dictation test over these words on Thursday. Students can refer to their
planner during the test. (Their words are written in them). Capitalization and
punctuation will be graded. Students will have a test over their list of words on Friday. Look for their words in their planners. Math: We
will begin our study of Chapter 8 Probability
Science Weather Unit
Homework
Your child should be bringing home a nightly homereader Monday-Thursday. Please intial their DEAR calendar nightly. Please return the books to school each day. We use these in class for our reading groups.
Spelling Homework for the week follows a pattern.
Monday: spellingcity.com
Tuesday: abc order
Wednesday: Write 5 sentences
Thursday: Study for your test
PLEASE don’t forget to initial your student’s planner & green take home folder each night! You will find homework
and other important notes listed each day as well as a report of your child’s
behavior in class that day.
**Some of our lessons are a continuation of last week's lesson.
