My name is Mrs. Countie. I have an undergraduate
degree from Texas A&M University (GigEm) and a Master's Degree from
the University of Houston at Clear Lake. I was the Technology Coordinator for
Westwood Elementary for the last ten years. Prior to this, I was a
teacher at Cline Primary for fifteen years. This year I will be teaching second grade. I am very excited
to be back in the classroom working with students.
I have a wonderful husband, Greg, two great teenage sons, James and Bradley,
and a furry puppy, Anastasia. They are the light of my life.
I enjoy doing things with my family. I love to swim, run and travel.
Photography is also a passion of mine. I have always had a love of
learning and teaching. There is nothing more
rewarding than looking at the face of a child who is eager and willing to
learn. As a teacher, I get to see that look everyday. I am
looking forward to a great year!
I am excited about teaching students at Westwood Elementary
skills that will last them throughout their lives.
My goal is to make our classroom an interesting and exciting place to learn. I
am looking forward to this year with your child. Ask them what they are
