I graduated from University of Houston in 1999 with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood
Education and a minor in Social Studies. I taught for one year in Pasadena ISD, and came to
Westwood in 2000. I truly enjoy teaching at Westwood! I love teaching second grade because
children at this age are becoming more independent, and love to learn new things.
I have lived in Friendswood for over thirty years. My husband and I both graduated from Friendswood
High School. We have been married since 1986. We have two wonderful children! You will hear many
stories about my kids. My son, Bryant, is attending Texas A & M University and is majoring in
Chemistry with a minor in Biochemistry. My daughter, Kalli, is in 10th grade, and is currently in Drill
Training. She is also a member of the Campus Singers, and enjoys taking art lessons.
I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends. My daughter and I love to go shopping, and to the
movies.
My mission for my class is that I want all students to have fun while learning, and to enrich their minds
with valuable information that they will use throughout their lives.
