Total of 20 books. Each month three genres (types) of literature are
assigned.
Three reports are due each month on the last school day of the month. Please
help your student by planning to read one book a week. Due dates are in the
front of the book report booklet, as well as the grading rubric. I DO NOT REQUIRE TEACHER APPROVAL
FOR EVERY BOOK READ. IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT A BOOK, YOUR STUDENT CAN BRING THE
BOOK TO SCHOOL FOR ME TO LOOK AT AND THEN I'LL BE ABLE TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION.
Each book report should be written using quality sentences. On the back of
each reporting page students will draw and color their favorite part of the
book.
The books chosen should be on a level that is appropriate for the student. If you need assistance in
selecting books on your student's reading level, please let me know and I can send library books home
with the student.
Please help your student by keeping this list and checking off the specific
books and categories as the books are read.
