I spent my college years at the University of Texas at Austin with a few
courses at the University of Salamanca, Spain. My husband,Richard, and my two
children, Bryan and Sarah, keep me very busy when I am not here at school. One
of my absolute favorite things in the world is reading a good book. I'll be
sharing many this year with my students and hope that they love it as much as
I do! I have been trained by Debbie Diller in guided reading, writing, and reading responses, by Dr.
Joyce Carol in New Jersey Writing, and by Sally Brown in the Literacy Collaborative. I love to
incorporate their teaching in everything I do to both set a good reading and writing foundation for
our kids, as well as stretch them to their fullest potential.
