This is my 16 year of teaching reading. I attended school at Midwestern
State University in Wichita Falls, Texas where I received a Bachelor of Arts
with majors in English, journalism, and teacher education. I then
completed my graduate work in Reading Education and certification as
a reading specialist in 1996. I have taught as a reading and dyslexia
specialist for the past 13 years.
My husband, Jack, and I have been married 18 years and we have 3 children,
Tyler, Allie, and
Zachary. We moved to Friendswood in 2006 from Wichita Falls , Texas. We are
excited to live here.
Friendswood is a great place to be!
I want my students to feel successful in the classroom because they are
readers. This
transcends to success in life. I believe that reading can be taught, but a love of reading must be
caught. I hope they all find the book that will hook them into a lifelong love of reading.
