We have been invited to sing
at the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce Luncheon on Thursday, December 3, 2009
at 12:15 pm at the First Baptist Church Activity Center. This is quite an honor
for our students. I will need at least 4 parents to follow the buses with us.
Let me know if you are interested.
Students MUST be in good
academic standing with their teachers in order to participate and miss school
for this performance. The classroom teacher can say that a student cannot
participate if he/she is not meeting the academic requirements of the class.
ALL students must be in their
FULL CHOIR UNIFORM for this performance-no exception! Please have the students
wear their uniform to school. We will be taking choir pictures after school so
there is no need for the students to change out of their uniform.
This letter also serves as a
reminder for our holiday concert, which is on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 6:00
pm in the Westwood Cafeteria. Full uniform, safe shoes and a Santa hat, elf hat
or antlers is required.
Choir will take a break after
our concert. We will resume rehearsals on January 28, 2010. Reminder, there is
NO choir rehearsal on Thursday, February 12, 2010.
Additional date: We have
been invited to perform at a first annual Choir festival on Saturday, February
20th in the evening. More information will be coming in January.
