What is the binder for?

Your student's daily binder is to maintain communication between you and the teacher. A zipper
pocket to send small notes and/or money for lunch/projects/book orders is in the front of the
binder. The peek of the week, giving and over view of the week is in the front as well. The
conduct calendar with behavior expectation explanation is next. A green folder to send and
return items like homework and signed notes follows. The reading log and reader envelope is at
the back of the binder.
Please sign the calendar and reading log each night and return the binder each day.

What is the math homework and where do we get the papers?

Math homework is assigned in the peek of the week each Friday and due the following Friday. It
usually consists of two math lessons in the green math workbook that was sent home the second
week of school. Please have your child complete these pages, tear them out, and return them in the
green folder in his/her daily binder. You are welcome to use the rest of the chapter to work with
your child on the previously taught skills.
