Spelling: We will test out of (au) spelled with au and aw and move into the
principal behind ow and ou.
Reading: Groups have moved into chapters books now. We are focusing on
vocabulary in context and supporting answers using text support.
Writer's Workshop: We are flashing back to Grandparent's Day as we write our
first compare/contrast paper.
Math: Subtraction with borrowing is our focus this week. We will look at a
variety of different situations with borrowing. We are including lots of word
problems.
Social Studies: Making money and starting a business are our focus. We will
look at it from a historical perspective as well as current businesses.
