I am so excited to be at Westwood this year! We are going to have a great
year! I grew up in Sagemont and graduated from Dobie High School. This will
be my twelth year to teach Kindergarten. After graduating from UH, I
worked in Pasadena for 6 years. In 1998, my twins (Claire and
Weston) were born and I stayed home with them for 5 years. I decided to go
back to work when they began kindergarten and I taught in Alvin for 4 years.
I loved kindergarten so much that I went to UHCL and received my Master of
Science in Early Childhood. As you can see, Kindergarten is my passion and I
look forward to meeting and working with all of my "new friends".
I have been married for 13 years and in my spare time, I love to watch my
son play baseball and football and my daughter play soccer and dance. We love
going to our ranch in Huntsville and being outside.
All children can learn. It is my responsibility to provide meaningful
experiences that meet the individual needs of all children. These
experiences should be adapted to the individual learning styles of each
child. Through these experiences, and the commitment of parents and
teachers, each child will develop to his/her full academic potential.
