ü Title of the Term
ü Definition
ü A passage (excerpt) from one of the stories as an example of the term. The example you choose to use must clearly represent the term.
Ø The actual text from the selection must be written down.
Do not put it in your own words, except for the term plot.
Ø You must include the passage’s title that you are using and the passage’s page number.
ü Illustration
You will need to read the following selections for this project:
“Broken Chain,” (pg. 28)
“O Captain! My Captain!” (pg. 626)
“
“The Landlady” (pg. 170)
“They Have Yarns” (pg. 496)
‘The Open Window” (pg. 246)
“There Will Come Soft Rain” (pg. 215)
The examples you use to demonstrate each term will come from these selections. The passages you choose must clearly show that you know what the term means.
Sequence for the final project:
Front cover with complete heading and title (Literary Terms Project)
Table of Contents with page numbers (Terms need to be in alphabetical order.)
Terms (Number each page.) (Each term will be on a separate sheet of paper.)
