Red, White and Blue

Today we had a flag ceremony in the cafeteria. We sang The Star Spangled Banner, My Country Tis of Thee, and America the Beautiful. It was fun. We said the pledges to the flags. The police officers were there with the firefighters. It was fun singing The Star Spangled Banner. The Cub Scout boys raised the flag.

I went to the ceremony to sing songs because it rained outside. So we sang inside. The songs we sang were America the Beautiful and The Star Spangled Banner. We pledged to the flag. We all wore red, white, and blue. I held a flag under my chin. There were police, firefighters and people that worked at the hospital. I had fun, too. I love America.

Our Turkey Tales

Thanksgiving is coming. Shark Tooth Turkey hid in a baseball costume. He wanted to hide.

First he goes to a baseball game. Nobody knows he is a turkey. Next he goes up and he is batting. He hit a homerun. Shark Tooth still doesn't want to get eaten.

Then Cooper saw Shark Tooth and thought he was a turkey in a baseball costume. Cooper said, "Hey, is that a turkey?" Shark Tooth feels scared. He runs and hides behind a tree.

Finally, Cooper caught Shark Tooth. He got eaten for Thanksgiving dinner.

Thanksgiving was here. Jay Turkey was sad. He was going to try and escape.

First the turkey had to think of a disguise. He saw a black costume in the toy box. He put it on. There was also a helmet. He put it on, too. He said he likes it. He wondered if it would work.

Someone was coming! He didn't see the turkey.

Finally the turkey went outside. It was raining. His costume wasn't waterproof. It fell off. People saw him. He was Thanksgiving dinner.

Thanksgiving was coming soon. Turk, the turkey was getting very nervous. He had to run away.

First Turk had to disguise himself somehow. Then he almost got caught, but he escaped. He had thought of a way to disguise himself. He will be a plumber. "But where will I go?" said Turk. "Oh, I know. I will go to a plumber shop and get a toilet plunger and a shirt that will say A-1 Plumbing. It will be cool! I guess I will have to just keep following the road to find a plumber shop."

Finally, Turk got in the DeLagerheim's house. Then he heard someone coming. He dove under the dresser. Then he froze with fear. Then when they passed by he crawled out. Then they saw him! He ran for his life and he got out of the house. The DeLagerheims had hot dogs for Thanksgiving dinner.

Thanksgiving was coming soon. Collin Turkey was getting nervous. He said to himself, "I have to escape. I have to hide."

First Collin had to think of a disguise. What would Collin be? Then he saw a dress-up trunk. He felt the badness, but he went for the trunk. He found an Elvis costume in it. He tasted one of the sequins. It was awful!

Suddenly, he smelled the danger! He heard the danger! He saw the danger! It was Mr. Steffens! He was carrying a turkey trap. Collin was scared!

Finally, his suit popped off. Uh-oh! Mr. Steffens chased Collin Turkey around the whole house! Then Mrs. Steffens got in on the game. Then Macy Steffens. They chased and chased him, but they did not catch him. So they only had mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and cranberry juice for Thanksgiving Dinner.

Thanksgiving was coming soon. Andi Turkey had to hide. She was very curious. She tried on costumes, but none of them fit her until . . . one fit her! So she wore the hula girl outfit.

First Andi Turkey had to think. She did not want to be Thanksgiving Dinner. She had to hide! Andi Turkey had a disguise on.

Finally, Thanksgiving Dinner was today. Then the Puempel family came and they saw a hula girl. Alyssa thought, "We don't live on the beach. Why is there a hula girl here?"

Andi Turkey said, "Uh-oh, they know I'm a turkey!" She ran through the kitchen! She ran through the livingroom! She ran out the front door and...she never ever came back!

The Puempel family did not have Turkey for Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is coming. Pete Turkey was sad. So he had to hide and escape.

Hasani saw the turkey. Then Pete ran around the house. But Hasani was getting ready to catch him. Pete was too fast for Hasani. Pete Turkey got tired and Hasani caught him. The turkey got out of Hasani's hand. He had to get out of the house.

Pete rushed through the bushes and through the trees. Pete ran until he got out of there before Thanksgiving dinner.

So he finally had to disguise himself like a ………..ROBOT!

Thanksgiving was coming up soon. Christopher Turkey was very smart so he escaped and he wanted to hide.

First he wanted a Abraham Lincoln suit. Next he disguised himself as a human. Then he went to the store to buy an Abraham Lincoln suit so he could escape. Then he went back to his dingy place. But just then a real human spotted him.

Finally, Christopher Turkey became the president and he told all the people to eat chicken for Thanksgiving. And they never knew that he was a turkey.

Thanksgiving was coming soon. Rebecca Turkey was feeling sort of good. The Pilgrim family was going to eat her. Rebecca said, "I don't want to be eaten. I have to hide and escape."

First Rebecca had to think of a disguise. "Where can I find a disguise?" said Rebecca. Then she thought, "A-ha! I can be a pilgrim, a girl pilgrim, of course."

Next she looked for a pilgrim costume. "Here's one," said Rebecca. Then she put it on and hid behind the bush.

Finally Rebecca Turkey jumped out of the bush and took off her costume. And guess what she did! She ran away. Was she Thanksgiving dinner? NO!!!!!

Thanksgiving is coming. Grace had to hide and escape. Grace was getting afraid. Grant always had turkey for Thanksgiving.

First Grace Ann Turkey was a girl. She disguised herself like she was a bride. Then she was all white. She was walking around. Preston and Grant saw something moving. Preston said, "Ahhhh!!!" Grant got Mom to see what it was. Next Grace Ann Turkey stayed outside out of sight.

Finally Grace Ann Turkey said, "Yes!" She was free. She said, "No one can catch me."

She ran to the Bowman family's next door neighbor and rang the doorbell and ran away. She ran to the next house and rang the doorbell and ran away.

So, Grace Ann did not get eaten and the Bowman family did not have turkey. But they had pie and dressing for Thanksgiving.

Indiana Turkey was trying to escape. Indiana Turkey was trying to hide. The Johnson family liked turkey for Thanksgiving. Indiana had to escape the Johnson's home.

Finally, Indiana Turkey escaped into the back yard. He really was nervous. Gage looked in the backyard. He saw the disguised Indiana Jones.

Gage chased and chased Indiana. Gage got tired and the turkey got away.

"I'm free!"

No, he didn't die.

One day there was a turkey named Sparkle. Sparkle was getting curious because she had to hide.

First she found a hiding place. Next Sparkle had to think of a disguise. Then she wanted to disguise as a princess.

First she found some sparkly shoes. Then she found a pink dress. And she found a wand that was pink and with a jewel.

Finally when Sparkle got everything on, she ran out of the house and then she saw a castle. She ran to it. She rang the doorbell and said, "Can I stay here with the other princesses?"

So she stayed in the castle until after Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving was coming soon. Ella Turkey was getting scared. The Giroir family loved turkey for Thanksgiving. Ella needed to escape and hide.

First Ella had to think of a disguise. Then she found one of Morgan's dresses and one of her wigs and some shoes. She dressed up like Morgan because she did not want to be dinner. She put on Morgan's clothes. She said, "What I am is Morgan! Where I am is Morgan's house."

Finally Ella's heart was pumping. She could not take it. The dress was hot. It was scratchy. She ripped it off. Morgan's mom chased her. Morgan came back. Ella was too fast for Mom.

They had bacon for Thanksgiving dinner.

It's Thanksgiving. Cooper Turkey was getting sad, because he thought he was getting eaten. Cooper knew to hide because he was a turkey.

First Cooper Turkey had to dress up as a Willie Brown eagle. He had two wiggly eyeballs, a blue shirt, and a yellow beak.

Next, he saw people get turkey from the store. He was glad that he did not get eaten. The people were thinking he was an eagle. It is illegal to shoot an eagle.

Finally Cooper Turkey felt happy because the people said, "Nah! He's just an eagle." The people ate turkey from the store for Thanksgiving dinner. Cooper Turkey was safe!

Thanksgiving was coming. Chelsea Turkey was curious. The Fannings always had turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. Chelsea had to plan an escape plan and a hiding plan.

First Chelsea had to think of a disguise. She thought for a long time. Then she said, "I am going to disguise me as a ballerina."

Chelsea heard a sound. Next she saw the Fannings walking past her. Chelsea was curious about the Fannings. Then she saw their little girl playing close to her. Next Chelsea saw their dog, Daisy standing right next to her.

Finallly Chelsea escaped out the door. The Fannings chased Chelsea out the door. The Fannings had no turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. Instead they had sausage for Thanksgiving. They were so mad!

Thanksgiving was coming soon. The turkey was getting ready for Thanksgiving, too. She didn't want to get eaten. She looked sad.

Next she had an idea. She tried to escape, but Lauren found her. Lauren was still looking for her. She chased her around. Lauren could catch a turkey. Yes!

Finally the turkey got away. She went to the store to get some clothes. She didn't know what to pick. She picked the clown costume.

Lauren saw the clown. She thought it was the turkey. Lauren caught her. Lauren's family had turkey for Thanksgiving dinner.

"This is Thanksgiving," said Will Turkey. He was feeling unlucky. He needed to hide, then escape. So he decided to be Santa!

First he had to find cotton balls and red paper. Then he had to make the suit with the red paper and the hat, too. Next he tore apart the cotton balls to make the fluffy parts. Then he got black paper to make the gloves, pants, and boots. Now he was ready to put them all together.

No one recognized him. Finally he got away. He was not Thanksgiving dinner after all. Thank goodness!

Thanksgiving is coming, so all of the turkeys have to hide. Maybe the turkeys were sad. They have to escape.

First my turkey wanted to hide. Next he decided to hide as Michael Jackson. "Where could a turkey be?" said the Vagle family.

Michael Jackson, the turkey, was getting sad. Then the Vagle family saw something move under the chair. They picked up the chair and they saw Michael Jackson, the turkey.

Finally Michael Jackson Turkey was getting sadder because the Vagle's heard a "gobble, gobble" and they caught him. They had Michael Jackson turkey for dinner.

Thanksgiving was close. One turkey escaped and hid. He was afraid he would be dinner.

First the turkey found a disguise, a hunter's suit. He was happy. Next he put on the suit. The real hunter couldn't find his suit, so the hunter went away.

Turkey was safe. He went to a safe place. Turkey said to himself, "I am safe."

Then turkey heard footsteps. Turkey was found. Oh, dear! Turkey ran and jumped over the hunter and shot out the chimney.

Finally, after Thanksgiving, Turkey took a vacation from trying to not be Thanksgiving Dinner.

Thanksgiving is soon. McCoy Turkey was sad. She had to escape because the Waldo family loves turkey. She had to hide too so the Waldos won't eat him.

McCoy first had to think of a digsguise. It was very cold outside, so it gave McCoy a good idea. Next McCoy said, "What will I be so I won't be Thanksgiving dinner? I know, I will be a snowman. But where will I get a snowman costume?"

Then McCoy found a great costume. She got it on and went to the Waldos front yard. Kyndal saw a snowman with feathers and saw it move. She wondered what it was and walked a little bit closer.

McCoy was scared and tried to say still so she won't be Thanksgiving dinner.

Finally it was Thanksgiving day. McCoy was tired so she got out of her costume. Kyndal saw McCoy. But McCoy ran all around. Kyndal did not catch McCoy in time for Thanksgiving dinner. The Waldo family had ham, potatoes and pie.

First Rachel had to think of a disguise. "Where can I hide?" said Rachel. Then Rachel Turkey saw the Nunnaly's ham on the table. Next Rachel Turkey was nervous that she will be Thanksgiving dinner. She was standing still and quiet. Rachel Turkey wanted to disguise herself as a ladybug. She said to herself, "Where can we find a ladybug suit? I know let's go to the store."

Finally Rachel Turkey escaped out the front door. The Nunnally family chased her all around the house. Then Rachel Turkey was free.

Next the Nunallys finally only had pie for Thanksgiving dinner.
