Hello all,
Happy New Year!! You survived the first semester of 6th grade!! It flew by, and your baby will be in junior high before you know it! We spent some time this week reflecting on last year and setting goals for 2010. We are wrapping up our Greek study and soon I will be immersing your children in the 60’s decade! Soon they will be able to demonstrate the dances that were all the rage back then! You will hear from me frequently this nine weeks because there are lots of activities, and I want to make sure you are up to date! First, your child will begin a research project next week. The good news is most of it will be done at school. Also, we will begin reading The Watsons go to Birmingham - 1963. You can send book money if you haven’t already. And Finally, save the date - Friday, March 12th for our annual Lip Sync - you won't want to miss it. There will be more information to come on this later. One thing at a time:-) This unit is always one of my kids favorite, and mine too. My kiddos come into their own this nine weeks and really shine! I love watching all my stars glimmer! Thanks so much for your continued support. This has been an unbelievable year - one of those years that it will be tough to say good-bye come May!
