How are grades determined in academic classes?

Grades in Social Studies and Science are not weighted. Tests,
however, in Science and Social Studies are averaged twice into the
gradebook.

How does my child know what has been assigned for homework?

Homework assignments are posted on the board every day in the same
spot on the board, and students are required to write the homework
assignments in their organizer.

When can my child attend tutorials?

Tutorials for students failing Math, Science, Reading, Language Arts, or
Social Studies on the progress report or report card are available before
and after school as needed. My regular tutorial hours are Wednesday and
Thursday mornings from 7:40 - 8:10. Students may not attend a tutorial without a note from
the teacher. Notes from front office staff or parents will not be allowed.
The teacher must know a student is coming in order to prepare for a tutorial.
