About The Teacher
This is my eighth year in Friendswood ISD, and I am very excited to be teaching at Windsong! I graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and am certified to teach grades 1 through 8. I taught fifth grade for seven years in neighboring districts before coming to Friendswood. I worked with third grade students during my student teaching and have experience teaching special education, at-risk, dyslexia, and gifted and talented students. I have two children. My son, Kevin, is in the twelfth grade at Friendswood High School, and my son, Brian, is in the ninth grade at Friendswood High School. My hobbies include reading, travelling, running, swimming, and cycling. I am currently training for the Houston Half-Marathon in January. I LOVE teaching and spending time with my kids! I am looking forward to a great year at Windsong!

My goal is to provide a warm, yet challenging environment where all students can learn and experience success. My focus is on problem-solving and critical/creative thinking with an emphasis on hands-on learning. I have high expectations for my students and encourage them to come to class every day prepared and ready to do their very best!
